Reyna’s patience and persistence are now being rewarded, though, with the 22-year-old playmaker stepping off the bench for BVB in their crushing 4-0 victory over Freiburg. He was given 12 minutes of game time in the second half of that contest.
WHAT SAHIN SAID
Dortmund boss Nuri Sahin has told reporters of Reyna earning another opportunity to prove his worth, alongside the rest of those that are working their way back from untimely knocks: “We're happy that they're [injured players] back, that we can bring them on, that they're in training. Gio trained brilliantly this week. It's important to get training minutes and, if possible, to get as many minutes as possible into the legs. I'm glad they're all back and I'm waiting for the others [to return].”
