The Star journalist Dom Howson has given Sheffield Wednesday a glowing review following their 4-0 thrashing of Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
What’s he said?
Garry Monk’s side were in a rampant mood as they made it five games unbeaten courtesy of a frantic first half.
The 40-year-old handed a second successive start to Jordan Rhodes, alongside top goalscorer Steven Fletcher in a 4-4-2 system, and it paid serious dividends.

He bagged the perfect hattrick. First scoring with his left foot, doubling his tally with his head and finishing it all off with a sublime overhead kick with his right.
There was even time for his 32-year-old strike partner to get involved as he notched his 12th of the season right on the stroke of half-time.
Howson, who has covered the Owls for years, believes the performance was up there with anything he’s ever seen, he said:
Promotion push?
There’s no doubt that this latest showing hands Wednesday a considerable boost towards their promotion hopes this season. The three points sees them move into fifth place, just one point behind third-placed Preston North End.
Had they not endured a run of five games without a victory last month, then they would have been much closer to both West Brom and Leeds United who appear to be setting the pace at the top of the standings.
The Owls are also faced with mounting uncertainty off the pitch which could well put their dreams in tatters. The EFL is yet to announce their punishment after they charged the club with financial misconduct.
It is believed that owner Dejphon Chansiri faces a permanent ban from football while the team could be slapped with a massive 21 points deduction, which would soon see them sink to the bottom of the table. Literally, rock bottom.
Monk’s side will just need to keep picking up points to ensure they can cope with all eventualities.
