Back-to-back away wins against Watford and Arsenal have kept United in the race, but the 3-1 success at Arsenal came at a price as a red card for Paul Pogba means that the Frenchman will be suspended for the Manchester derby at Old Trafford.

United are yet to reveal whether they have appealed the decision, but it is unlikely the suspension will be overturned.

It is a massive blow for United, but it does mean that Ander Herrera will once again have the chance to nail down a position in the middle of the park.

It would be fair to say that the Spaniard, who is valued at £27m by transfermarkt.co.uk, has struggled to find his best form this season, but he will have the perfect opportunity to show his abilities against the league leaders.

Herrera is an extremely popular figure with the United fans, but many have been keen to remind the 28-year-old that he needs to perform against City this weekend if selected.
