Kane and Dier became the first English duo to combine for a goal in the Bundesliga since records began in 2004/05. Dier collected the ball on the right flank and found Kane infield, with the striker spinning his defender and finishing once he was inside the box, slamming the ball into the bottom corner.

Kane's strike was his first open-play goal since November but he has remained prolific for the Bundesliga giants. With his strike against Freiburg, he has taken his tally to 17 goals in 17 games in the league.

Dier and Kane have forged a real understanding throughout their careers. The former arrived at Tottenham in 2014, and has been Kane's team-mate ever since, barring a six-month period where he remained in north London and Kane was in Bavaria.
