Leeds United handed another debut out on Saturday as Oliver Casey came off the bench against Huddersfield Town in the Whites’ 2-0 win over the Terriers.
The 19-year-old didn’t get much of a chance to impress on his first outing as he came on in the 84th minute of the match when United were already coasting towards victory.
Casey’s debut will have undoubtedly been a proud moment for the youngster, but it got Leeds fans wondering about another of their budding stars.
Indeed, it seems as if a few United supporters wanted to know when Robbie Gotts was going to make his first-team debut after weeks of being an unused sub as they took to the comments section of Phil Hay’s post-match Q&A.

What’s been said then?
Hay answered a couple of questions about the 20-year-old in his session.
One fan simply stated that he feels sorry for Gotts as his wait for a debut continued as Casey stepped onto the pitch for the first time.
“Poor old Gotts. Casey deserves it though. Has been making waves in the Under-23s and I like the fact that Bielsa doesn’t just use Gotts out of sympathy for the amount of time he’s been an unused sub. His time will come.” Hay said.
Another member of the fanbase asked if Gotts will ever get a debut.
“The thing is, Bielsa is the last coach who would give a debut simply because a player has been hovering in the wings waiting for it. I’m sure Gotts will get his chance.”
When?
If Bielsa is indeed planning on giving Gotts his first-team debut in the coming weeks, then why hasn’t it already happened?
The Argentine’s midfield has been massively depleted due to injury and suspension in recent weeks as Adam Forshaw, Jamie Shackleton, Tyler Roberts and Kalvin Phillips have all missed action for one reason or another, yet Gotts still hasn’t been asked to come off the bench.
It’s really tough to put an actual timeframe on when the 20-year-old will get his chance as the Argentine doesn’t seem keen on getting him involved as he’s already passed up multiple opportunities to hand him a debut.
Meanwhile, our writers have been pondering which striker Leeds should sign to replace Eddie Nketiah if he is recalled.
