Many supporters reacted negatively to the journalist’s update on the Whites’ chase of the Southampton man.

You can understand why. Ralph Hasenhuttl has said that Adams leaving is unlikely, yet the Yorkshire outfit are still trying to get a deal done for a player who seemingly isn’t available.

United desperately need a striker after Eddie Nketiah’s recall, and some people are worried that they won’t be able to land one if they spend too much time chasing Adams.
