The 18-year-old was brought in as a late replacement for the injured Cole Palmer but put in a sparkling display in Chelsea's 5-1 rout of West Ham on Friday. Despite bagging an assist for Enzo Fernandez, head coach Maresca pointed out that the teenager lost the ball in the build-up to Lucas Paqueta's stunning opener. The Italian did also heap praise on the summer recruit, though.

The Italian said after the game: "He is very young and a fantastic player. I am very happy with him. But he also has to adapt because the goal we conceded came from him trying to make a flick in the middle of the pitch."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
While he is still quite raw, Chelsea appear to have a big talent on their hands in Estevao. The former Palmeiras ace became the Blues' youngest-ever player to register an assist in the Premier League with his Hammers contribution and topped the list for passes into the final third, dribbles, and tackles. This could be the start of something very special.

Estevao only started due to Palmer's groin issue. It remains to be seen how serious that injury is but in the meantime, Chelsea fans will be itching to see the young Brazil international in action again when they host London neighbours Fulham next Saturday.
